1 Kings 3:1~2, 16~28
1 Kings 3:1 And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh’s daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the Lord, and the wall of Jerusalem round about. MC VC
1 Kings 3:2 Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house built unto the name of the Lord, until those days. MC VC
1 Kings 3:16 Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him. MC VC
1 Kings 3:17 And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house. MC VC
1 Kings 3:18 And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house. MC VC
1 Kings 3:19 And this woman’s child died in the night; because she overlaid it. MC VC
1 Kings 3:20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom. MC VC
1 Kings 3:21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear. MC VC
1 Kings 3:22 And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king. MC VC
1 Kings 3:23 Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living. MC VC
1 Kings 3:24 And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. MC VC
1 Kings 3:25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other. MC VC
1 Kings 3:26 Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it. MC VC
1 Kings 3:27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof. MC VC
1 Kings 3:28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment. MC VC
1 Kings 7:1~12
1 Kings 7:1 But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house. MC VC
1 Kings 7:2 He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars. MC VC
1 Kings 7:3 And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty five pillars, fifteen in a row. MC VC
1 Kings 7:4 And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks. MC VC
1 Kings 7:5 And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks. MC VC
1 Kings 7:6 And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them. MC VC
1 Kings 7:7 Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other. MC VC
1 Kings 7:8 And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch. MC VC
1 Kings 7:9 All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court. MC VC
1 Kings 7:10 And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits. MC VC
1 Kings 7:11 And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars. MC VC
1 Kings 7:12 And the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the Lord, and for the porch of the house. MC VC
